Hansi covers race, ethnicity and culture as a reporter for NPR’s Code Switch team. Based in Washington, D.C., he was awarded the NPR Kroc Fellowship, during which he reported for NPR’s National Desk and Seattle public radio station KUOW. As a student at Swarthmore College, he hosted, produced, and reported for a weekly, student-run program on the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan. A Philadelphia native, he has worked as a refugee housing coordinator and speaks both Cantonese and Mandarin dialects of Chinese.
